I got fedup and turned to cpuinfo which told me it was a wistron 30d6 motherboard with a nVidia nForce reva2 chipset.

Broadcom WiFi driver on the site I submited were ok. I recently reloaded this HP pavillion laptop dvnr with windows xp prof sp 2 I’ve basically thrown every single hp link at this thing to get the audio working.
Thanks for the friend response, I tried to install the view but it does not dv200, and I do not want to return Windows Vista since it does not have support.
Message 7 of 7. You may have to start from scratch, reinstall XP clean then install the correct drivers in the correct order.

From reloading several nvidia chipset drivers to every single convenant ac 97 audio driver linkd in the hp forum. Before formatting your machine, download the XP wireless driver specific to that model. I am not sure h understand.

It tells me that the best driver software for the device is already installed. See if you can manually install the driver as follows The product number can be found on hhp same label as the serial number. Do you have any question marks or exclamation marks in device manager?

Some drivers worked under XP, like those for minor functions like keypad and special keys. Posted April 30, edited. Downloaded the correct nVidia driver and it got the sm bus controller, ethernet and wireless basically working fro mthe get go.

So, for audio to work you need to install three controllers that maybe is easier as an automatic process in other netbooks but not vd2000 this one, with no native support for XP. Try upgrading to XP SP3 and installing all Windows Updates, including optional ones, in the hope that this will bring a better audio driver for your card.
